Chapter History

In November 2018, the town of Paradise was destroyed by the Camp Fire, the deadliest wildfire in recorded California history. Of our 25 members, only a couple still had homes by the time the fire was done. Most of our members lost everything.  It took us quite a while to even find our members as the fire had displaced so many.  They now are living in six other states.  It looked like the chapter was going to have to disband, but we have worked hard to come back and rebuild. The Golden Nugget Chapter, NSDAR, has been forged by fire, and our friendships and desire to give back to our community have been made stronger because of it.
